Thank you, everyone, for all that you did. It was a rough four years for all of us. But it was especially hard on those who have been marginalized in our country. They bore the direct brunt of a federal government who saw little value in them, a government who used its power to exact cruelty. While it was rough for me, it was brutal for Blacks, immigrants, LGBTQ... basically everyone who wasn't white, straight, a birthright citizen, etc. Our standing in the world suffered; the environment suffered; the poor suffered; science and empathy were ignored; COVID needlessly killed hundreds of thousands; the list feels endless.
The purpose of GroupE has been achieved. But the work upon our shared society must go on for years to come.
